School-links is pleased announce their strategic
partnership with New Era IT, the leading supplier of ICT infrastructure,
solutions and services to the New Zealand education sector.
This association will enable NewEra IT to offer this web-based
‘Communication Software System’ that connects Parents, Teachers, Administrators
and Students.
Included in the range of communication tools are -
- Early
Notification System
- General
Messaging System
- Online and
Email News System
- Parent-Teacher Interview Online Booking System
School-links is a Ministry of
Education approved provider of Early Notification (EN) and enables schools to
send alerts for absent children directly to parents or caregivers by text
message and/or e-mail. A school attendance officer can view replies to the text
and e-mail alerts from the student management system (SMS) or from the
School-links web interface. Schools can also receive secure electronic
notifications from parents for absences before they happen.
School-links also has a safe
text-message and email environment with a full audit trail for 2-way general,
academic and extra-curricular teacher-student and school-parent communications.
It also has a fully-featured
news system that schools can use to save time, money, and the environment.
Schools can publish online news features and broadcast electronic news and
attachments to its members - avoiding the issues associated with trying to get
communications home via traditional means. School news archives can be kept
online for access at a later date.
The School-links online Parent-Teacher
Interview Booking System allows parents to log in and book interview time slots
for selected staff members. It both streamlines the interview booking process
and provides the school with a central database and electronic record of
parent-teacher meetings.
