Equico
Equico have been providing finance to the education sector since 1994. Commencing with SNAP (School, Staff, & Student Notebook Access Plan) which was designed in partnership with Toshiba, Equico enabled a large number of schools to put laptops in the hands of the staff and students.
In addition to our ongoing student programs, which now cover many laptop brands, Equico manages both finance and insurance for the following Ministry of Education funded initiatives:
- LEADSPACE – Laptops for Principals
- STELA & TELA – Laptops for Teachers
With a minimal weekly contribution, Teachers have access to latest technology laptops. To date, participation in the scheme has been greater than 80% of eligible teachers, and in excess of 2,000 schools nationwide.
As New Zealand’s largest financier to the education sector, we also offer schools, universities, and private education providers cost effective finance solutions enabling access to a variety of technology products for the classroom.
