Greg Strachan, Chief Executive Officer
Moving into the position of CEO in 2016, Greg has had over 15 years’ experience in the IT industry. Prior to joining New Era in 2000 Greg was involved in IT project management and consulting with Waitemata Health and Aetna Health. Previous to that Greg had 3 years at iHUG NZ Ltd providing engineering support, network design and deployment. Greg’s industry qualifications include Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, Citrix Certified Administrator, Acer Certified Storage Engineer, Allied Telesis Certified Engineer.
Nick Coakley, Technical Services Manager
Nick has worked for New Era IT for over 8 years within our technical team and carries a wealth of knowledge and experience in the design and implementation of IT related systems in school and tertiary institutions.
Tony Gilbert, Education and Client Services Manager
With an extensive background in Education, Tony started his
educational career as a primary school teacher before moving to
secondary teaching at Waihi College, Onehunga High School and Green Bay
High School where he took the role of Deputy Principal. In recent years
at Green Bay High School Tony managed their ICT solutions as well as
finishing his masters degree in educational leadership.
Tony joined the New Era team in February 2014 and brings not only a
background within education with him but also a wealth of knowledge
around change management, assessment and curriculum needs, school
logistics, training and leadership.
Andrew Hood, South Island Regional Manager
Andrew has worked for New Era IT Ltd for 2
years, previously working for one of our major suppliers specializing in
networking and wireless design & deployment. Andrew has been in the IT
industry for 20 years and has worked closely with the education sector in the
South Island for the past 7 years. Andrew is a Microsoft certified professional
and is also certified in various wireless technologies.
John Mansbridge, Business Development Manager
John is a former primary school principal and teachers' centre director. From the late 1980's John was a pioneer in the provision of ICT solutions and services to New Zealand schools. After gaining international experience in multi-media and book distribution, John has joined New Era as National Business Development Manager.
Sandip Patel, Solutions' Manager
Sandip has had 12 years' experience in the IT industry. Prior to joining New Era IT in 2005, Sandip completed a Bachelor of Computing Engineering, Advance Diploma in Information Technology and a Diploma in Electronic Engineering. Sandip has been a project manager for two years facilitating major New Era IT network deployments and was appointed as Solutions Manager in 2014.
